From severe property damages to business interruption and looting, we offer in-depth experience in crisis management around the globe.

We use a mix of physical presence at loss locations and sophisticated digital intelligence analysis. This facilitates an efficient recovery plan as well as help resolve all stakeholders’ most sensitive claims. We co-ordinate with our own security consultants and in-country assets to support our clients impacted by conflict-related events.

Beyond the technical expertise, it is our human touch that sets us apart.

Our Services

Property Damage

Assess extent and costs of damage, analyse coverage and quantum measurement. Negotiate settlements and assist stakeholders in achieving fast resolution.

Business Interruption

Continuous modelling of evolving quantum scenarios, advise on loss mitigation measures, examination of reinstatement timelines and compression of outage periods.

Geopolitical Analysis

Analyse ongoing instabilities in conflict zones that impact reinstatement planning, site inspections, remote damage assessment and information gathering.

Open-Source (OSINT) Analysis

Digital intelligence analysis is now an everyday tool used in remote damage assessments and gathering of contemporaneous evidence. Specialist intelligence resources (formerly working within national intelligence services) are deployed in the most complex of loss scenarios. Where evidence is not obtainable via human intelligence (HUMINT), we have the best resources at hand to fill the gap.

Image Intelligence (IMINT) Analysis

Concomitant with OSINT is the developing use of image intelligence analysis. Satellite imagery is obtained from a number of sources available to our adjusting teams which undergo highly specialised examination from former military experts in the field of IMINT.

Battle Damage/Ordnance Assessment

Where required, access to the highest quality in post-blast forensics forms part of the specialist consultancy available to Charles Taylor. Engineers with the highest qualifications and experience in Explosive Ordnance Disposal are involved to provide input into this highly technical area.

CASE STUDIES

Ukraine

In Ukraine we used a layering technique, principally using Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) for a large claim worth hundreds of million dollars.

We started with satellite images, superposing building construction plans and understanding the building ability to withstand ordnance.

We also used an ex-Army ordnance expert to determine the type of damages based on the type of weapons used by the Russian army.

Israel

Charles Taylor has been loss adjusting sites during the ongoing conflict between Israel, Hamas and Hezbollah.

As part of an insurance claim presented to the London Market, our team attended two of the six largest Israeli Kibbutzim that were the scenes of murder and kidnapping.

We used local eye witnesses, official site plans and on-site photographs to assess extent and cost of damages.

Sudan

Site inspections in war-torn Sudan is not possible given the extreme level of risk that exists.

Here we have deployed the full range of OSINT, IMINT and in one case, HUMINT by proxy. In an unusual move, a security consultant with specialist in-country assets, has been deployed to gather available evidence in a particular area of interest.

IMINT has been used to assist in quantum assessment where significant property was stored externally and therefore available for satellite image examination.
