• Hugh has worked in the insurance claims field since 1979. He started as an adjuster in the UK in 1982 and entered the international reinsurance markets in 1993.
• Hugh specialises in large and complex losses in onshore energy comprising downstream hydrocarbons, power and mining sectors on a worldwide basis.
• He has delivered several papers in a number of international insurance fora on specialist claims handling matters.
• He is an experienced and internationally known loss adjuster, with additional extensive experience of concomitant EAR/CAR, Political Violence and general property risks.
• His forte is large, complex and sensitive losses providing an all-encompassing management of major loss incidents.
• Principally representing Reinsurers from the major reinsurance centres around the world, Hugh provides a time and cost-effective management of multi-faceted disciplines necessary in the handling of large and complex claims. He provides a clear and concise interface between Cedents, Original Insureds, appointed consultants and instructing Principals.
• Hugh is a Managing Director of the International Onshore Energy and Mining (OEM) global practice, which gathers highly qualified specialists in the field.
