Amir started his adjusting career twenty years ago in 2003. He worked as a Technical Adjuster and Marine Surveyor at a branch office of Charles Taylor Adjusting in Iran (CTC-IGS) before moving to ERAM International Risk Management as a General Manager until 2013, where he monitored risk surveys and claims handling assignments across Middle Eastern countries. During this time, he adjusted and settled complex claims related to oil and gas, energy losses, machinery breakdowns, cargo and marine, and commercial property, as well as surveying onshore and offshore upstream and downstream plants and power plant sites.
In 2014, Amir moved to Canada and joined Crawford and Company Canada, focusing on residential and commercial losses, as well as marine and cargo surveys. Before joining Charles Taylor in 2024, he worked at ClaimsPro and Coast Claims, handling a wide variety of residential, strata, commercial, and industrial losses, as well as cargo and marine, product liability, wrap-up and construction claims, business interruption, and liability claims.
Amir holds a degree in Material and Metallurgy Engineering from Sharif University of Technology (Tehran) and has obtained his CIP and CRM designations, accredited by the Insurance Institute of Canada and RIMS New York in Risk Management
He holds full adjusting licenses in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Yukon
